As a conservative, you have have the right to promote your view just as much as people on the left are allowed. Conservatives don't caterwaul in the public arena as much as leftists (as that's a big leftist tactic), but when you give gifts to universities and other organizations, tie very big strings to any giving. Make sure that your input is given and followed before you give.
If you have the opportunity, create a foundation that will make the rules for giving to organizations and promote your values. Every time a gift is given by your foundation, put those you are giving to under careful review . . . . These are my proposals and thoughts . . . .
